Experienced Randall joins Van D’am Racing

Van D’am Racing are excited to announce our first new signing for the 2018 season with David Randall boosting our sprint options.

Studying engineering at the University of Melbourne, Randall is keen to make his stamp on the National Road Series in 2018 after making his debut in the series two years ago.

With new Victorian sponsor Appselec on-board for next year, the team are keen to hold a strong presence across the state border in both the local and Victorian Road Series scene.

After a crash filled finale, Randall crossed the line in an impressive 18th position at the Melbourne to Warrnambool Classic in October with one of his biggest strengths being a key lead out man for a designated sprinter.

Hopeful for national selection at the World University Cycling Championships in Portugal in early August 2018, Randall sees Van D’am Racing as the perfect fit for an elite cyclists juggling both sporting and university commitments.

“After having raced around Victoria for a few years while being focussed primarily on my studies, I am really grateful to Van D’am Racing for the opportunity to step up and test myself in the Subaru National Road Series. I really appreciate Van D’am valuing riders’ education and hope I can do them proud on an international level at World University games”

Director Lachlan Ambrose was equally excited about the team securing Randalls’ services for 2018.

“It’s no secret that we look for far more than just bike riders when selecting riders. Dave’s professionalism and approach to the sport really stood out from all the resumes that we received this year. We feel that we have the set up that can really help him take his riding to the next level, and that together we’ll be finding the podium next year’

Keep an eye out for the full roster announcement in the coming weeks!
