Van D’am Racing sews up a new partnership with BUCK!T

Butterfields-Appselec p/b VDR has always prided ourselves on how we go about what we do. We never wanted to be just another cycling team, churning through riders and sponsors chasing token success on the road. We wanted to follow best practice. And we wanted to be sustainable. As a consequence of this approach, many of our sponsors align with this thought process – quality, not quantity.

BUCK!T exemplifies this philosophy. An eco-business sharing our home-town of Adelaide, they produce handmade products from upcycled bicycle parts, tyres and tubulars of all colours, styles and descriptions. When Craig approached us wanting to help, we couldn’t say no.

The one thing we find with the cycling community, is that everyone wants to help, even if it is in their own small way. BUCK!T isn’t the style of company that would be able to pay our way to the Tour de France, but Craig has a passion for the sport in all its forms; wanted to help and offered to provide something special for the riders. So we are excited to see a series of wallets, belts and saddlebags coming out in the near future sporting the team’s livery.

Those familiar with the racing scene in Adelaide would already be familiar with Craig’s products, with BUCK!T sponsoring the NCC Preme Sprints over their summer criteriums. Those from the rest of the world may have seen some BUCK!T’s merch kitting out a few of the biggest names in cycling, including three times world champion, Peter Sagan.

Team Manager Lachie Ambrose said of the new partnership “Having a sponsorship which is individual and tailored to the team, is something all of the riders are excited for. And to have this through a brand which aligns so well with our own driving values is very rewarding for me personally.”

Stay tuned over the coming months as we get our hands on some truly personal products, and make sure you follow BUCK!T on social media so you can see their full range of products. If you are inspired to get something special for yourself, or for someone close to you – head over to their webpage and take a look…
