It seems as though every Australian team has their token resident Kiwi with Thomason hailing from the small town of New Plymouth a short trip across the ditch. Moving to Adelaide to study Health Science at the University of South Australia, Thomason joined Van D’am Racing in 2017 after guest riding for the team in 2016.
The all-rounder often finds himself in the team captain role and can be expected to lead the team during the 2018 season thanks to his experience racing across the continent. Look to Thomason to step up to another level next season and obtain his own results at national level as well as helping out the younger members of the team.
“I am extremely excited for the opportunities and support that Van D’am Racing gives to continue to develop on and off the bike and look forward to continuing this through 2018”
